Cyber Sex Causes High Depression

In a new research it was found that people who frequently surf internet for sex sites have a very high rates of depression, anxiety and stress. People generally devote many hours in a day to seek such sites.
In the study, researchers found that on an average people generally spend 12 hours on such sites mostly chatting, downloading video and images etc.
In the Research near about 1325 American and Australian men were used in which around 65 percent were those which had met someone off line that they had first encountered online.
According to Marcus Squirrell, a doctoral student at Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne, said that in this study it was found that most of the people had the high rate of poor mental health among the sample group.
Researcher also mentioned that about 27 per cent of them were moderate to severely depressed whereas 37 per cent had high levels of anxiety and 35 per cent were moderately to severely stress which is extremely high. The person who heavily engaged in online sexual activity had the higher their level of depression and anxiety.
