Doctor conducts depression tests of the patients in order to estimate his level of depression. There are various self tests grouped by the health care provider i.e.

Self-Tests

Zung Depression Scale: It is a 10 minute screening test which includes 20 simple and easy questions and especially designed for those patients who undergoing symptoms from the past 2 weeks.

Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS): This depression screening test has around 10 questions assessing the last 7 days for further valuation. 9+ points depicts a suicidal tendency and 1+ point for care assessment through health providers.
